Terms of Use
Effective August 3, 2026
The agreement
These terms cover your use of the Farbound app, published by 21 Media LLC. By installing or using the app you accept them. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies wherever these terms are silent.
Your license
You get a personal, non-transferable license to use Farbound on Apple devices you own or control, under the App Store rules. The app, its writing, its design and its code stay ours or our licensors'. You may not copy the app's content into other products, resell it, or pull it apart to build something competing.
Purchases
Farbound Complete is a one-time purchase, processed by Apple, that unlocks the full versions of the app's stories, missions, mystery stars, sounds and continuous narration. It includes Family Sharing. Restore it on a new device with the Restore Purchase button on the unlock screen.
Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's own policy; we cannot issue them directly. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
What is free in Farbound today stays free. Optional expansions may be sold separately in the future, and they will be labelled as separate products before you buy anything.
The content
We work hard to keep the science in Farbound accurate and honestly labelled, including which sounds are real recordings and which are data turned into audio. The app is built for learning and wonder, and it is not a professional instrument: do not use it for navigation, aviation, astronomy research or any purpose where an error could cost you something real.
Imagery from NASA, ESA and other public archives appears with gratitude under those agencies' usage policies. Their appearance in Farbound does not mean they endorse it.
Fair dealing, both ways
Do not use the app to break the law, probe our servers, or hammer our content service with automated traffic. In return we promise honest labelling, no dark patterns and no quiet removal of things you paid for.
Warranty and liability
Farbound is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the past twelve months. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Changes
If we change these terms we will update this page and its date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
